Chastity
All of us are called to the virtue of chastity whether we are single or married, young or old, celibate, widowed or divorced. Often misunderstood, it is not the same as abstinence.  Rather, being a chaste person means to live in a way in which you are in tune with your spiritual potential and integrate your sexuality into your whole person.  Chastity helps us to respect others and treat them with dignity.  Special Guest, Jason Evert, shares why he believes chastity is important, and how our faith can help support us to live a chaste life.

Hello, I would like to comment on your current episode on chastity. I just saw it today and it caught my interest. I think it is important, especially in our generation, for teens to hear about chastity. I, personally, follow it, however, I believe that I am the only one out of my close friends that does. I am lucky, in that, they respect my decision, but there are many teens out there who are being pressured into it and do not have the support from their friends, such as I do. It is important for them to hear the message that they are not alone in their beliefs and do not have to fall into being pressured by their friends or society in general. I wanted to thank you for showing this episode because I had come to believe that I was one out of a very few number of teens who believe in and practice chastity, I was also beginning to feel as though it would be very hard for me to find others who believed in and practiced it too. After seeing this episode, it made me realize that there are many more teens out there who share my same thoughts and feelings towards chastity and practice it themselves.
